Lucy and Enid were on chain tethers when we arrived, they had been in the same spot for two days after the owners went back to the mainland. It was a continual shift of moving the goats every six hours or so, refilling their water buckets, feeding them carrots etc. We decided to electrify the paddock and now they have free reign of the entire area. The next step was to give them a shelter so an old water tank retrieved form the tip, an entrance cut , straw down and you have the Baa Mahal. Now Lucy and Enid are as happy as Goats. Anna feeds them bread and carrots at 5pm every day and they are now waiting at the gate at the required time to greet her and almost consume her.

As for the bloody roosters, we cannot give them away!  Yes we did, we gave the blighters away. The new hens have started laying again and we have enough eggs to satisfy our own needs. Please note the Chook Mahal, the only chook house with authentic stained glass windows.
