Comfy and cosy, and yours to enjoy.

Your stay at Crabtree is special any time of the year!

Luxuriate in the temperate Huon Valley summer and enjoy the river, the beautiful countryside and the cool verandas. Picnic by the river with a feast of local cherries, raspberries and blackberries plus a selection of Huon Valley cheeses and freshly baked bread.

A river chilled bottle of local award winning wine would top it all off.

Visit us in autumn when the colours in the gardens of Crabtree River Cottages are simply breathtaking. Enjoy the local seafood including Huon salmon, lobster and a plentiful selection local produce.

Enjoy a romantic winter sojourn with cosy fires and a feeling of total relaxation. Try Tasmania’s world renowned Angus beef washed down with a magnificent Huon Pinot Noir.

And in spring the gardens are a riot of spring flowers.

Accommodation Tasmania also provides self contained, self-catering home style holiday properties The Esplanade Kingston Beach in beach-side Kingston (12 km south of Hobart) or Bridge Cottage in historic Richmond (25 km north).

We’re happy to help you work out the best place to stay so you can see the sights. Car transport is recommended as our island is compact and it allows you to experience as much of Tasmania as possible.

Many of our visitors enjoy heading down to the Tasman Peninsula to see historic Port Arthur.  The stunning Museum of Old and New Art – MONA is unmissable if modern art and culture is more your speed. Foodies cannot miss Bruny island and a visit to the Bruny Island Cheese factory, and a Gourmania Food Tour is a divine way to spend a morning or afternoon walking around visiting the hidden culinary delights of Hobart. A weekend visit to the Salamanca or Farm Gate Markets is a fantastic way to gather the provisions for a delicious homemade dinner.
